Much of the country is under a blanket of snow, with unheard of temperatures freezing parts of the south into an icy block for days. In fact, in parts of the country it is an actual weather emergency – but in Southern California “bitter cold” is just a matter of perception. Always interesting to me how words that mean the same thing, can mean something completely different to somebody else.
